BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Fire Department were called to four fires across the city early Wednesday.

One house, at 242 Watson Street near William Street, needed 20,000 gallons of water to be extinguished. The house was vacant and will be torn down.

A fire at a two-story duplex at  146 Kay Street started when an electrical service line to the house sparked and caught fire, causing $10,000 damage. That fire is under investigation.

A single-family home at 522 Willett suffered $10,000 in damages to the building and $5,000 in damages to the contents of the house. That fire, too, is under investigation.

A stove fire was quickly extinguished in a house on Grey Street and no damages were reported.
