BUFFALO, N.Y. — A woman accused of hitting her ex-husband with a vehicle and killing his was in court Friday, facing new charges in his death.

Cuansharee Palmer, 37, was in Erie County Court to be indicted on charges related to the April death of 39-year-old Donnell Sharp.

Palmer pleaded not guilty to second-degree manslaughter, two counts of second-degree vehicular manslaughter and four counts of aggravated DWI with a child in the car under Leandra’s Law.

Sharp's family was on hand for the court appearance.

Two of Palmer’s children were in the car at the time of the incident.

Palmer was originally charged with criminally negligent homicide, DWI and endangering the welfare of a child.

“I’m hoping we get justice, because this has been a hard situation for everyone,” said Marquita Sharp, Donnell Sharp’s sister. “The way he died was horrible. Nobody should ever die that way.”

Bail was set at $30,000 for Palmer, who is due back in court for a pre-trial conference on March 27.
