An Allegany County man is charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly shot his neighbor’s dog with an arrow.

Clooney, a one-year-old Beagle-Labrador mix, has multiple broken bones after he was shot in the leg with an arrow by Marvin Boncore, 63, according to New York State Police.

Clooney wandered into Boncore’s yard while his owner was fixing a nearby fence Saturday on Pangburn Road.

Boncore is also facing reckless endangerment charges.

A GoFundMe page set up to help pay for Clooney’s medical bills already has raised nearly $5,000.

Clooney is expected to recover.
