A Williamsville man will face up to seven years in prison for leaving the scene of a crash in which a person was killed.

Lawrence Penna, 68, was driving to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport on Jun 7 when his car hit another vehicle, causing it to flip over.

A woman inside the other vehicle was killed. Two other people were injured.

Penna drove away after the crash and was later arrested at his home. Had he stayed, he would have faced different charges, as the driver of the vehicle was partly at fault for the collision, said Erie County District Attorney John Flynn.

Penna is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
