Shari Robbins was on her way to work at Heritage Ministries last November when she was killed in a domestic violence incident.

Now the organization is remembering her and other victims with its Shine the Light Campaign.

Through a series of events at Heritage Ministries locations across Chautauqua County scheduled through November 10, the organization will close the campaign with a remembrance of Rogers.

As part of the campaign, Heritage Ministries is selling purple “Shine the Light” T-shirts for $10 and purple domestic violence awareness bracelets for $2. All proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army Anew Center in Jamestown, to aid other local victims of domestic violence.

Robbins was killed by her estranged husband, Keith Robbins, last November. Keith Robbins disappeared after his wife’s death, kicking off a five-day manhunt that ended when police found him in his father’s house.

Keith Robbins has not yet been tried for the murder. He was also charged with stabbing a Jamestown Police Department K-9 officer.
