ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — When members of Bills Mafia wake up for gameday, there are a few things to do. Things like putting on the colors, maybe making their way down to a tailgate or getting settled in to watch the game at home.

But in a galaxy not too far, far away, a dark lord stirs and makes his way to an imperial, porcelain palace — his bathroom — where he gets ready for the day.

"So one of the reasons for my love of the Bills was because I was born in Buffalo, raised in the area," said one of the most recognizable faces, or masks, in the Bills Mafia community. "And I just remember being a kid watching all the different Super Bowls and seeing all the different players, and this is something that my family has always gotten me into and I decided to just be a Bills fan ever since."

Middle school is where a young Bills Vader found his love of Star Wars but the full concept wouldn't be recognized for some time, after enlisting in the Army.

"I deployed to Afghanistan from 2013 to 2014. When I came back, since I was out of football for so long, I decided to get back into it and figured 'how can I get into it while making a bit of a bang?'" Vader asked. "Before it was just going to be a cheap helmet, cheap cape, jersey, camouflage pants — just something fun to do. It just started to slowly evolve when I got back from that tour in the Middle East and ended up evolving to what it is today."

We won't be giving away Bills Vader's identity, but that's part of the reason they don't either. It could be any one of the most compassionate fanbase under the helmet.

"I remember the Bills Mafia or you know just part of the fan bases," said the red, white and blue-clad Sith lord. "We are so giving, we care about others. Part of the reason for this character is to bring people together."

Time to make their way out, although that can sometimes be challenging.

"Whenever I'm tailgating games, or just walking around, I usually get stopped every few seconds every few feet," he added. "Definitely asked the whole tailgating experience and the game experience."

Each week so many fans cheer, as an icon and empire rise to the occasion and make the Bills viewing experience that much more interactive.

"Whether it's nostalgia just for adults or just something fun for the kids," Vader said. "We all have a commonality in the Bills football community. May the Bills be with you."
