Dallas, TEXAS — It was 48 years between NCAA tournament wins for St. Bonaventure, and they have less than 48 hours to get ready for the next one.

St. Bonaventure is living up to the role of David, and will be taking on yet another nation power in Goliath: Florida. Beating name-brand power is nothing new this year, as Bonaventure has taken down Syracuse, Maryland, UCLA, and now they look to do it to the Gators.

"We're not really intimidated going on to the court, they have to lace them up just like we do. We just go out and try to execute and defend and try to take care of business,” said senior guard Jaylen Adams.

"It's a 5-on-5 game and they have to lace their shoes up just like we do. We just have to go out and play our game and execute the way that we do,” said junior forward Courtney Stockard.

If the Bonnies are going to turn what many are calling a fairytale into a two-game winning streak in the NCAA tournament, believe it or not, the leading scoring team in the A-10 will look to continue to rely on defense. It's that D that has taken them from DC to Dayton and now to Dallas. Versus UCLA, they caused 20 turnovers which led to 30 points in a 7-point victory. They will need more of the same against the Gators.

"It is something that we have hung our hat on all year, is our defense. We know that we can score the ball, but the offense isn't going to be there every night, teams are going to adjust, but the one consistent thing we are going to have to do is defend. It is something that we have been doing lately and is something we have to keep doing going forward,” said Adams.
