The Sabres signed forward Evan Rodrigues to a two-year deal, the first-year a two-way deal, meaning he can play for both the Sabres and Amerks. The second year is one-way.
Rodrigues, who played at Boston University with Jack Eichel, scored 60 points for the Amerks over the past two seasons, fifth most of any player over that period.
He also scored four times for the Sabres last season.
