Firefighters need your help to bring Christmas to hundreds of kids in the Cataract City. The Niagara Falls Firefighters Toy Telethon is officially underway.

For the 90th straight year, the city's everyday heroes are manning the phone lines and accepting donations. The money collected will help buy winter clothes and christmas gifts for more than a thousand local children.

Organizers say they also use some of the proceeds to throw a holiday party for seniors in area nursing homes.

You can donate by calling in to 716-277-7484. The telethon ends at 10:00 p.m. tonight.

You can also watch the telethon by tuning into Spectrum Public Access Channel 1303.
