There's some good news for Andrew Cuomo in the latest Quinnipiac Poll -- it shows the incumbent has a strong lead over his opponents.

According to the poll out Wednesday, Cuomo tops challenger Cynthia Nixon, 59 to 23 percent in a Democratic primary.

The survey also shows him with a 57 to 31 percent lead against Republican candidate Marc Molinaro.

Pollsters say a lot of the people they surveyed still didn't know enough about Cuomo's two main rivals to support them.

The state attorney general race was also part of the poll. Right now, 42 percent of people are undecided. New York City Public Advocate Letitia James has about 26 percent. She has been endorsed by the governor. Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney surveyed at 15 percent and Zephyr Teachout at 12 percent.

In all, 934 New York state voters were surveyed. There is a margin of error of 4.1 percentage points.
