BUFFALO, N.Y. – A vigil outside the Anchor Bar Sunday night commemorated the life of employee Freddie Dizon, who was shot and killed inside the restaurant.

Two years to the date and time of his death, family and friends gathered outside of the restaurant.

On Friday, Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced Gregory Ramos was convicted on charges related to being an accomplice to murder.

Investigators say Ramos drove the shooter, Jorge Suarez, to and from the restaurant the night of the murder.

Back in December 2017, Suarez was found guilty of Dizon’s murder and is serving 25 years to life in prison.

Sentencing for Ramos is scheduled for July 17.

The district attorney said he will also ask the courts for a maximum sentence for Ramos.

"It was hard going to court, but I got justice for my boy," said Herminia Gonzalez, Dizon's mother.

"I will never forgive them for what they took from me," Gonzalez added.
