BUFFALO, N.Y. — A fire at a Buffalo deli caused about $500,000 in damage overnight.

An emergency demolition was ordered for the Walden Quick Stop Deli on Gittere Street after it caught fire around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters say the flames were so intense, they couldn’t get inside the building before it was fully engulfed.

No one was inside the deli at the time and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
