LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Niagara County sheriff's deputies say one person is dead following an accident in Lockport Thursday afternoon.
Deputies say the accident happened near the intersection of Stone and Johnson Roads just after 1 p.m.
They say a box truck appears to have crossed the center line and collided head-on with the car traveling in the other direction.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the box truck was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC with serious injuries.
