Hundreds of brides-to-be lined up outside Alfred Angelo Saturday morning all hoping to find the dress of their dreams. There were over 600 dresses left inside after the store closed their doors last year. The owners of the building holding this liquidation sale to clear out the final stock.

Colleen Garvin bought her dress from Alfred Angelo, getting it just before they filed for bankruptcy. The jewelry she ordered however never came in. She and her mom went back today hoping to find it, but had no such luck.

"I paid $116.50 for those earrings and necklace and two weeks later we got the notice that they were going bankrupt and we never got the necklace and the earrings. So we came today to hope that they were still in that glass case, but they're not," said Colleen's mother, Jeanne Garvin.

Other brides had some better luck. Within the first hour about 25 dresses were sold. Cheers would erupt when someone would leave the store with a dress in hand.

Victoria Green was the first one to walk through the doors and ended up walking out with the one.

"Yeah I saved 60 percent, and I actually got a really good deal on a dress I love so I'm excited," she said.

The good news didn't stop there either. Maurice the Tailor, in the same plaza as Alfred Angelo is offering 20 percent off alterations for anyone who bought a dress at the sale.

In addition, $5 of every purchase and any leftover dresses will be donated to Gowns for Prom, making sure every dress has a fairytale ending.
