On an icy cold April day, thousands of NYSEG workers were out working to restore power to homes and businesses across Western New York.

Following Wednesday’s storm, customers in Cheektowaga quickly ran out of patience. Residents on Ontario Drive say help wasn't quick to arrive. It is estimated that Saturday evening will be the earliest customers in the area will have power restored.

Residents are now forced to use generators for a prolonged period of time, which is not recommended.

“I’m very upset," said Patty Nowak.  “I don’t know why. I don’t see any power lines down or nothing. We get a lot of power outages in the area.”
