BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two Buffalo churches want to bridge the gap, not just between their congregations but between generations.

Through their Average Weekly Touch initiative,  St. Paul's Cathedral and True Bethel Baptist Church want to count the number of lives they're enriching instead of tabulating the number of people in pews on Sunday.

Every Wednesday at 11:30, the Bread of Heaven Food Truck and Shepard's Closet, a school bus filled with clothes are on hand at the corner of Church and Main streets during lunchtime, distributing food and clothing to those in need.

Church leaders hope by practicing what they preach, millennials will be inspired to come in and worship or find inspiration to start their own efforts to spread joy.
