ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Fans with faith no longer need to feel guilty for skipping out on church when the Bills play at home — at least for one game.

Prior to the Bills-Dolphins game on December 17 at New Era Field, a nondenominational Christian faith service will be held in the Ad Pro Sports Training Center.

This service will be the first of its kind to ever take place before a Bills game.

It will seat around 500 people, but there will be plenty of standing room available if needed.

Depending on the turnout, the pre-game service may become a reoccurring event.

"If people want to still tailgate, they are more than welcome to, but they don't have an excuse by not being at church. The whole goal is not to compete with the churches. We want the people to go back to their home church. We don't take an offer, everything is free," said William Hein, retiree.

The service is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. that Sunday. It's expected to last an hour.
