NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Blink and they're easy to miss among the bags, bustle and bargains.

"I don't get bored. I enjoy people, I just watch," said Imran Hafwz, who waited on a bench at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls while his wife, daughter and granddaughters searched for Black Friday deals.

People like Hafwz are as much a part of Black Friday as the deals and the crowds.

"Her job's to shop, my job's to carry it out to the car, make sure it's safe," said Vijay Sidhu, who traveled to the outlets from Toronto with his family for the day.

A sure sign of the shopping partner: they can be spotted checking their phones or surrounded by shopping bags.

"I am trying to relax," said April Helms of Rochester, who was enjoying one of the outlets' massage chairs.

They're the men and women whose partners and family members love to make a day out of it, while they got what they came for hours ago.

Helms says she got some good deals while shopping with her husband, but when it comes to who got the most, "These are all his," she said, gesturing to several shopping bags. "It's fun because you're out, you're experiencing everything. You get to see what they like, they get to see what you like."

They may not be into the whole "shop-til-you-drop" thing, but their moral support doesn't go unnoticed.

"They were really helpful. My husband dropped me to the door so I didn't have to wear my winter coat inside. They sat on benches with the shopping bags. It just makes it more funny as we're shopping store by store and don't want to leave the stores and the guys just can't wait to go home and sleep," said Sidhu's wife, Karina Sidhu.

Rest that, for many, will be well deserved.
