The weekend brought beautiful fall weather, and Western New Yorkers don't want to think about winter weather, but Colvin Cleaners certainly is. They're collecting coats for their 22nd annual Coats 4 Kids giveaway.

In two decades, they've collected, cleaned and donated more than 80,000 coats to people in need throughout Western New York, but they said donations have been slow to come in this year.

"It's 70 today and people aren't really thinking about donating their coats, but our phones have been ringing off the hook of people who are in need of coats," said Christopher Billoni, Colvin Cleaners Vice President. "So as soon as we launched this officially a few weeks ago, we do collect coats year round, but officially last week, we started getting the word out. Phones have been going crazy. The need is definitely there. We're hoping that people still remember that when they're changing their closets and going through their wardrobes and donate to this cause."

For those who'd like to donate, they can drop off coats, scarves, hats, gloves, or monetary donations at Colvin Cleaners, 2375 Elmwood, Kenmore, Allstate Insurance agencies and Fidelis Care.
