BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The under-construction children's museum, carousel at Canalside, and Erie County Naval and Military Park will split $1.5 million in New York State grants earmarked for Buffalo waterfront attractions.
The Explore and More Children's Museum, a 43,000 square foot facility is expected to host 250,000 visitors a year, the solar-powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel project, and naval park all received $500,000.
State Senator Chris Jacobs says the projects will take the area to a new level and generate even more visitors to Canalside and Western New York.
The goal is to have all three projects wrapped up by the end of next year.
