JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- Full steam ahead for the National Comedy Center in Jamestown. The group in charge of the project secured all the money it needs in order to make it happen.

It will be the first national non-profit center dedicated exclusively to comedy.

The funding comes from a $3 million donation from the Ralph C Wilson Junior Foundation and an additional $5 million included in part of the Buffalo Billion 2 program.

The National Comedy Center is scheduled to open next year.
