NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A group of surgery patients from the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center starred in a unique fashion show Thursday night.

All the models have undergone minimally invasive weight loss surgeries, with the majority losing more than 100 pounds.

Officials said the surgeries are not cosmetic. Rather, they help to alleviate weight-related health issues.

"It's a comprehensive and lifelong commitment that they make, and we celebrate the fact that they stayed with it and that they've worked they program in a way that gives them better health a longer life and a better quality of life,” said Patrick Bradley of NFMMC.
