MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Nolan Burch's blood-alcohol content was more than six times the legal limit when he was found unresponsive in a West Virginia University fraternity house in Nov. 2014, according to police.

The Morgantown Police Department released a report Tuesday that stated Burch, 18, became highly intoxicated during a fraternity initiation Nov. 12.

Burch was later discovered unconscious at a frat house in Morgantown. He was taken to a hospital, but taken off life support two days after the incident.

An investigation found that the Canisius High School graduate and other pledges of the Kappa Sigma fraternity were told to drink a bottle of alcohol as part of the initiation.

Testing determined Burch's blood alcohol level was .493.

Police did not say if charges will be filed.
