NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- The annual 4th of July Carnival in Niagara Falls continues today.

The three-day event includes rides, family-fun games and of course lots of food.

For the first time in the city's history, the festival is being held downtown, along Old Falls Street.

"I think on social media we've seen a ton of people liking and sharing and saying that they're getting out this weekend," Old Falls Street USA marketing director Susan Swiatkowski said. "So if this is any early indication, I think this will become an annual tradition for us on Old Falls Street."

The carnival runs from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

The Seneca Niagara Casino will hold their fireworks display Sunday at 9:40 p.m..

There will be another pyrotechnic display over the falls Monday night.
