The spotlight Tuesday was supposed to be on the special election in the 37th state Senate District. Democrats were optimistic that Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer would win and then all they would have to do is get Simcha Felder to join the fold. But, Felder stole the spotlight when he announced that despite the outcome of the special elections, he plans to keep his seat over with the Republicans for the rest of this session at least. Steve Greenberg worked for two Assembly Speakers and is the head of Greenberg Public Relations and a pollster for Siena.
