State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb is the first Republican candidate to officially enter the 2018 race for governor. He is not ruling out a primary campaign if no preferred nominee emerges from the Republican convention later this year. Kolb believes Governor Andrew Cuomo is vulnerable, pointing to the upcoming corruption trial of the governor’s former aide, Joe Percoco. The assemblyman sat down with Nick Reisman to talk more about his reasons for running.
