AMHERST, N.Y. -- Whole Foods opens in Amherst Friday, but how about a sneak peek Thursday morning?

Spectrum News got a tour of the 50,000 square-foot store. It includes a bar featuring a rotating cast of local brews and pierogies made in Buffalo.

Store team leader Mark Wilkins is excited to open the doors and share what Whole Foods has to offer Western New York.

"Now to me is where it gets really exciting, the shelves are being stocked, all the produce is being stacked, you know we're starting to cook food, starting to sample food out in our bar and restaurant area so it's just a great time to be ready for opening," Wilkins said.

Wilkins says they plan to donate five percent of Friday's net profits to the Massachusetts Avenue Project.
