ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Focus at One Bills Drive has shifted to the Patriots and the well-awaited second meeting with Rob Gronkowski. Head Coach Sean McDermott already saying he does not want his guys thinking about retailiating.

Gronkowski took a cheap on cornerback Tre'Davious White during their December 3rd meeting that sent the Bills rookie into the league's concussion protocol.

However, with the postseason in sight, the team has to stay locked in — and that includes a much-needed improvement on the defensive side. Gronk notched nine catches for 147 yards in their first matchup and the Bills D also let up 191 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

"We definitely would like to do a better job against their run game, for sure," said Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. "We’d like to do a better job of trying to contain their tight end, everybody talks about that during the course of the year. Then, you have to obviously pay attention to their quarterback, who is a terrific competitor and great player as well. They have a lot of different ways they can hurt your defense, but we’re going to concentrate on a few things; can’t take everything away. We’re going to do the very best we can to limit their opportunities."

Gronk was suspended for one game due to his hit on White, but returned last week for a 9-catch 168 yard game against the Steelers.

It's not all on the defense though, the offense needs to do more this time around as well. In the earlier loss to the Pats, the unit not able to do much after an impressive opening drive ending with a Tyrod Taylor interception. The team totaled just 268 total yards on offense including a paltry 85 yards through the air.

"We had our chances," said Bills offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. "They were disguising some coverages, but it should have been enough for us to throw, catch and make some plays. We got down there once and turned the ball over, the second time we got down there we just didn’t make a play to score. We missed a shot play when Joe [Webb] was in there, which could’ve helped us out [with] some momentum here and there."

The Bills will continue their Patriot preparations when they get back on the practice field Wednesday
