The 13th ranked Syracuse Orange (7-2, 4-2) are hosting the Louisville Cardinals (2-7, 0-6) in the Carrier Dome Friday night with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. With a win, the Orange will move to 8-2 and an undefeated record at home for the first time since 2001.

There is plenty going on inside the Loudhouse as well as things to enjoy prior to the game on campus. Here are five things your need to know ahead of the game:

Support the senior class

It will be the final game at home for the class of 2018, which features Eric Dungey, Dontae Strickland and Antwan Cordy.

The Senior Celebration is set for 6:35 p.m., so make sure you’re in your seats before then.

Pre-game concession discount

Another reason to be in the Dome early is for fans to take advantage of the deals at the concession stands. From 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., fans will receive a discount coupon for 50 percent off food and beverage items (excluding some items). Gates inside the Carrier Dome open at 5:00 p.m.

Honoring Chris Gedney

The Syracuse family unexpectedly lost Chris Gedney back in March. At the end of the first quarter, Syracuse athletics will honor the All-American tight end. Gedney helped lead the Orange to four bowl games during his career. He was named to Syracuse’s All-Century team in 2002.

A new tradition

At the end of the game, Syracuse Head Coach Dino Babers is looking to begin a new tradition. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game to, “share a memory with the seniors.”

Players will take one final lap around the Carrier Dome field. Babers said, “It’s something we’d really like to start here. It could be really, really special for the seniors.”

After Friday night, the Orange will not play at home until September 21, 2019 against Western Michigan. With plenty to offer before, during, and after the game,  the Carrier Dome will be the place to be Friday night.
