BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Some lucky kids spent their Saturday hanging out with former professional athletes like Fred Jackson and Aaron Williams at Jackson's first youth football camp.

"I said that if I ever have the opportunity to go give back to kids, being a professional athlete, I would jump on it in a heartbeat," said Jackson.

"I remember being that same age. Having guys like Fred, myself and Bryan Scott come back and help these kids out, help them learn the game and the fundamentals of it, and hopefully these kids get something out of it, but the most important thing is to have fun," said Williams.

Once Jackson decided to have a football camp for kids, choosing the location was a no-brainer.

"To be able to give back here and have a camp where my career was made means the world to me," said Jackson.

"I came to love this place so any time these guys need support, or me just being there, I'm here no matter what," said Williams.

The camp gives a portion of the proceeds to Friends of Carly, a local organization that supports those affected by pediatric cancer.

"It's something that when you've played for so long for an organization and have been around all of Western New York for so long, when these opportunities present themselves, there's no way you can turn them down," said Jackson.
