TROY, N.Y. — It took a buzzer-beater and four extra minutes, but Delaware Academy won its state girls basketball championship.

Logan Bruce's game-tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation kept the Bulldogs' hopes alive, and Franklinville couldn't get a tying shot of its own to fall in OT as Delaware Academy prevailed 54-51 in the NYSPHSAA Class D title game at Hudson Valley Community College.

Olivia Wakin led the way for the Bulldogs with 19 points, with Bruce scoring 16 and Anna Post adding 13. Franklinville's Danielle Haskell led all scorers with 33 points.
