Chemung County Sheriff

Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss will take on a new role as Chemung County executive.

He took in more than 15,000 votes, beating out Jerome Emanuel and Michael Krusen.

Current executive, Tom Santulli announced his plans to retire after this term, leaving the seat open.

Union Town Supervisor

A new face will become the next town of Union supervisor.

With all precincts reporting, Democrat Rick Materese defeated Republican Frank Bertoni, with more than 10,000 votes, Bertoni pulled in just under 9,000.

Materese will replace Rose Sotak who chose not to run for re-election after harassment allegations against her in 2017. Though, charges against her were dropped.

121st Assembly District

The race for the 121st Assembly District is too close to call. 

At the end of election night with 100 percent of precincts reporting, Republican challenger John Salka is in the lead with 21,974 votes.

Democratic incumbent Bill Magee has 21,011 votes.

This race could be decided by absentee ballots that have yet to be counted.
