An Owego man is paying it forward, helping other families dealing with breast cancer.

Last year Jocelyn and Ryan Kline were given a life altering diagnosis. Traci's Hope is a local nonprofit that helps support women with breast cancer.

They helped the Klines during their time of need and Ryan wanted to give back. So, he organized Kans for the Kure to raise money for Traci's Hope.

"They really do a great job, they help so many people,” said Taylor Garbage Public Relations Manager Stephen Donnelly. “When people are affected by something like breast cancer a lot of things happen. You have medical expenses, unexpected utility bills, groceries, all these things that you have that you need to take care. Unfortunately with the medical attention with someone being out of work you're unable to do.

Cans are collected at Taylor Garbage's locations in Vestal, Owego, and Barton. The goal is to collect 100,000 cans and bottles by the end of the month.
