St. Anthony's Learning Center in Endicott is left picking up the pieces after their building was broken into Sunday night.

There’s thousands of dollars in damage after children vandalized the preschool, chapel and food pantry.

Computers, printers and televisions were broken, and paint and glue were poured across several classrooms.

One-hundred and twenty children attend the school programs each day.

Parishioners and volunteers worked around the clock Sunday night into Monday to make sure the preschool could reopen as quickly as possible.

"We're resilient and the people have great hearts. We've got more than a dozen people here today cleaning up, an army of people just making sure that everything gets taken care of," said Jim Serowik, St. Anthony of Padua pastor.

After-school programs were forced to shut down Monday, but they are expected to be back up and running Tuesday.
