Heavy rain has now created issues for Southern Tier charities.

More than 14 tons of potato crops were wiped out after last week's storm. Planted by the Southern Tier Antique Tractor Club, the potatoes are donated to charity each year.

CHOW and the Southern Tier Food bank look forward to the 16,000 pound donations.

This year was a total loss.

"It's unfortunate but we're grateful for the work they did put in,” said CHOW Program Director Jack Seman. “We're looking forward to next year being a little drier and hopefully a successful harvest.
