The Southern Tier is no stranger to flood recovery, and there's been quite a bit of it this weekend.

Emergency crews have been busy helping those affected by Friday's flash flooding.

The Red Cross has responded to seven homes in Steuben County, two of which have experienced major structural damage.

Officials say they're working hard to get everyone the relief they need.

"We have a team of volunteers out doing disaster assessment, initial assessment, where we can, given the compromised infrastructure in the roads. We're doing a house-to-house where we can get access to check on the individuals, to check on the habitually of their homes,” said Brian McConnell, Red Cross Finger Lakes Chapter executive director.
