TOWN OF MAINE, N.Y. — A local produce shop was hit hard by flooding this week.

Eight inches of rain poured into Country Wagon Produce in the town of Maine when a nearby creek flooded Tuesday. The water wiped out pumpkins, mums and other produce.

So much of what the business was planning to sell this fall is ruined. The focus now is on recovery efforts, while the rest of the year is in limbo.

"I don't know, we need to talk about it. We have a lot of stuff to fix and clean up. If we're going to open up again it will be a while, you know, we just have a lot to think about," said Owner Andrea Eichhorn.

This is the second time the business has been impacted by flooding, the other time was in 2011.
