Johnson City police have made two arrests in a weekend shooting. They believe the second suspect was the intended target.

Officers were called to the area of Willow Street just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots being fired.

A woman was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the chest. She has since been released from the hospital.

There are two suspects charged in the case.

One is a 16-years-old whose name is being withheld. He faces second degree Attempted Murder and weapon charges.

Xavier Melendez, 18, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence.
