For the fourth year in a row the LUMA Projection Arts Festival lights up the nighttime sky in Binghamton.

During the event, 3D models are projected onto buildings throughout downtown, transforming them into art installations. Organizers say it's the culmination of numerous efforts to revitalize downtown Binghamton.

"It was sometimes difficult to get people to come from other communities, and we started to think we really needed to do something special, something spectacular that would really say we've arrived again, to get people to travel here really from all over the country," said LUMA Projection Arts Festival Co-founder Joshua Bernard.

The LUMA Projection Arts Festival runs through this weekend.
