Endicott, N.Y-- All of the rain has interfered with preparations for the Southern Tier's big celebration, the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.
Staff members say two inches of rain pounded the En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott. The pros were not able to practice on the course Tuesday.
Workers couldn't set up merchandise and concession tents. Crews were hard at work throughout the day keeping up with the rain.
"Everybody's doing the best we can, we've all been here since 6 a.m. working hard making sure of that and we'll be here till midnight I’m sure making sure that's its continuous," said Dick's Sporting Goods Open Event Coordinator David Pessagno.
Organizers say they hope the courses will be ready for the Pro AM Wednesday Morning.
