OWEGO, N.Y. -- The Tioga County fair is up and running.
This year, fairgoers are getting to enjoy the sights, sounds and savory food a week earlier than usual.
The timing has allowed organizers to bring in a brand new midway by Gillette Shows -- and they say so far, so good.
"Last year we had a very difficult year, and this year we've tried to do things differently. And actually I think there's a little bit of fate, if fate matters, and then, it does matter,” said Jim Mead, the fair’s vice president.
Admission is $10, but that covers everything, including midway rides and grandstand events.
Wednesday is Dairy Day if you're going out to Owego. The fair runs through Saturday.
