What was formerly known as the "Zombie Mansion" in Skaneateles has been brought back to life.

The home is now being sold through Finger Lakes Realty Partners for $895,000.

It was built in 2005 and designed to be the model home of "The Enclave" -- the first area in Central New York where homes would cost one-million-dollars or more.

Town leaders said the home, left vacant for years, was a "public nuisance" and a popular spot for parties.

The town passed a resolution in 2017 calling the property unsafe and voted for it to be demolished. But, a buyer stepped forward and said he would begin rehabbing the home.

"There are five bedrooms; great office space right above the garages, master suite is beautiful. 3 bathrooms up, another half (bathroom) down," said Jerry Morrissey of Finger Lakes Realty Partners.

The home also has a master suite balcony, fireplace and koi pond. It sits on 24 acres.
