A number of jobs are expected to come to a major manufacturer in the Southern Tier. It’s all thanks to an agreement between the company and Boston.

CAF USA is planning to add 100 jobs. They’re looking to fill a variety of positions including manufacturing to help build train cars similar to these.

The company currently has roughly 400 employees after laying off nearly two dozen almost two years ago. Chemung County Executive Tom Santulli says as the number of jobs goes up, so does the amount of revenue the county sees.

Santulli said, how retail and restaurant businesses do, is directly connected to how many people are working. Most of the jobs they’re looking to fill are full-time. He also said there is plenty of people waiting for the opportunity.

“There's a lot of people that just want to work and be the person that makes that product, not invent the product and I think manufacturing jobs, we need to bring as many manufacturing jobs back as we can because we have a work force that was designed to do that,"" said Santulli.

According to indeed.com the amount of pay ranges start at just over $16 an hour.
