It's another tragic story of drug abuse, but for this former NFL quarterback is hoping it becomes a tale of redemption.

Ryan Leaf spoke at Watertown High School Thursday night. He was the number 2 overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft.

But from that ultimate high, he traveled to an incredible low. Leaf was addicted to prescription drugs, attempted suicide, and then spent three years in prison.

He's sharing his story from coast to coast in hopes of helping others. Leaf uses his speaking engagements to try and encourage people to live sober, and destroy the stigma for families helping a loved one fight addiction.
