An Owego couple featured on HGTV's 'House Hunters' is starting renovations on their new home.

Business owners Julie and Ike Lovelass were on Tuesday night's episode. They currently operate The Owego Kitchen, and were looking for a space for not only their home, but also a Bed and Breakfast.

And they found one -- it's located at the site of a former Female Seminary, that was open from 1843-1865. It was owned and operated by Belva A. Lockwood, the first woman to run for President of the United States. The property also has a tunnel, which is believed to have been part of the Underground Railroad.

"Let's go for it, we'll buy it, fix it up, turn it into hopefully a showcase in the village and just try to build on what we think is really the beginning of something big here in Tioga County and Owego itself, said Ike Lovelass."

This project is giving the couple an opportunity to build their dream home, and contribute to the community they love. The Belva Lockwood Inn is scheduled to open this fall.
