People were at the polls all across the region Tuesday, as taxpayers weighed in on school district budgets.

Most of the budgets sailed through without an issue including a few districts that were crunching some difficult numbers.

In Vestal, residents were voting on a relatively small tax hike, but the concern was a pool of reserves being held by administrators. Some community members were asking the district to scale back the tax bill.

In the end, that didn't matter for taxpayers. Vestal residents passed the budget.

One budget that failed was in Delaware County.

Stamford needed a supermajority to pass its spending plan but failed to get the necessary vote. Now the school district will have to either pass a contingency budget, or put a second plan up for a re-vote next month.
