In the Southern Tier Broome High School Democrats hosted a "protest for our lives" outside of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney's office in Binghamton.

Dozens of students and adults gathered at the building to have their concerns heard.

Organizers objected to Tenney's perceived lack of transparency and communication with voters.

Those who attended the protest say it's important for members of the community to be informed.

"If you're not concerned or scared about what's going on right now about what our representatives are doing, then you're not awake, you're not watching, you're not paying attention,” said Windsor Central High School Senior Annmarie Rounds-Sourensen.” If you can still make excuses for Tenney, if you can still make excuses for Trump, then you're not paying attention and you should be scared about what's going on.”

Congresswoman Tenney has not directly responded to protestors.
