Many classmates and faculty were left in disbelief Monday after 19-year-old Joao Souza was found Sunday night suffering from stab wounds in his dorm room.

He would later die at a nearby medical facility.

His friend and former classmate says devastated after hearing the news Monday morning.

Evan Wallace described Suoza as an incredible and friendly person, who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

"He was just one of those guys that everyone loved, you really couldn't not like," Wallace said. "And I think his personality and outgoing, charismatic nature, I think that's what I'm going to miss the most about him."

The Binghamton U. community had already been reeling after a nursing student, Haley Anderson, was found killed in an off-campus house.
