Authorities have arrested a man they believe was responsible for a fatal shooting in Johnson City on Easter.

Corey Robinson is in a Georgia county jail and officials are waiting for him to be extradited back to New York.

The 29-year-old faces murder charges for allegedly killing Erika Smith.

He also injured two other individuals, who have since been released from the hospital.

According to police, the shooting occurred after a fight between Robinson and another person during a party at 92 Crocker Avenue.

Officials say Smith was not the intended target.

The Johnson City Police Chief said this is the most extensive case he's worked on, with more than 100 leads and assistance from multiple agencies.

"We had guys running down video, plate reader information, neighborhood canvases. It was just massive in scope because we had so little cooperation from the victims and the witnesses. It made it much more difficult," said Brent Dodge, Johnson City Police Chief.
