HARPURSVILLE, N.Y. -- A school in Broome County will represent New York State at White House's 140th Easter Egg Roll.
Every year, one school from each state is selected to design an Easter Egg, which is then displayed at the White House during the event.
This year, two students from the Harpursville Central School District had their artwork chosen.
They were selected out of more than 700 districts in the state.
The design features a New York City skyline with the state bird, state tree and state flower.
Students say they're honored to represent New York.
"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and it's an unknown feeling that we represent New York state at the White House and it's something we couldn't fathom before this ever happened," said Annamarie Goosley, 11th Grade Student.
The White House Easter Egg Roll gets rolling Monday morning.
